In Last War Survival, the drone chip system has gone through some changes that can
impact your strategy. In this article, we will provide a quick guide to help you prioritize
important chips and focus on the right upgrades for a stronger squad.
About the Chip Lab
The first thing to focus on is the
Chip Lab
level. While the Chip Lab can be upgraded up to level 35, all chips become available for crafting
by level 20. This means that the last 15 levels don’t provide any real benefits.
It’s best to hold off on these extra upgrades until you’ve prioritized more important areas
in your base, like the Drill Ground, Tech Center, or Barracks.
Epic Chips
Epic Chips were once quite useful, but after recent changes, they’re now less effective.
Most players recommend using them as material to upgrade Combat Boost Stages.
But, it’s a good idea to keep Epic Chips active on your squads until you can swap them out
for Legendary Chips. Once you have the Legendary Chips, then use the Epic ones for Combat
Boost Stages.
As for the green and blue chips, which are the lowest rarity and offer minimal perks, they’re
best used directly for Combat Boost upgrades.
Chip Crafting Priorities
The next question is, which chips should you craft first once you have the necessary
materials? Here’s the recommended order:
Start with the Memory Ultra Fission Chip for your main heroes. Be sure to craft
it for the hero’s specific type—whether aircraft, tank, or missile. Focus on equipping your main
squad with legendary chips as soon as possible.
Next, prioritize the Defense Chip known as Gravitational Resonance Armor. This
chip provides a defense buff that lasts throughout the entire battle. It boosts defense specifically
for the hero type it’s crafted for and also gives a defense boost to all heroes in the squad,
particularly benefiting the front-row units.
Then, craft the Initial Move Chip, called Absolute Quantum Field. This chip
creates a shield for a few seconds at the start of the battle, making it excellent for tank
heroes. Its secondary effect is a global buff that reduces damage slightly for the rest of
the battle after the shield wears off.
Lastly, craft the Attack Chip. Although it’s less essential than the
others, it’s still helpful. It boosts attack power when drones strike, and its global buff
increases the number of targets that drones can hit. This chip becomes a lot better at star
level 5 where drone targets are increased to 3.
Right Chips to Upgrade
When it comes to ascending or upgrading chips, the priority remains similar to the crafting
order. However, it’s best to keep your chip levels uniform. For example, if one legendary chip
reaches level 2, bring the others up to level 2 as well before moving higher.
Start by prioritizing upgrades for the four chips in your main squad. Once these reach high
levels, shift focus to your secondary squads. I recommend leveling each chip to star level 2
first, following the crafting order mentioned earlier.
Begin with the Memory Ultra Fission Chip, aiming for star level 2 to greatly
reduce enemy tactic damage. The Defense Chip comes next.
For the third priority, focus on the Attack Chip over the Initial Move Chip until
both reach star level 5. This is because the Attack Chip increases the number of drone targets
at star levels 2 and 5, which is highly advantageous in battles.
After reaching star level 5, the Attack Chip’s benefits decrease in impact, so it can then
become the fourth priority, with the
Initial Move Chip taking the third spot.
